Directions from the Des Moines Airport to Dayton Rodeo:
Des Moines International Airport, 5800 Fleur Drive, 515-256-5056

Make a right turn (south) out of the Des Moines Airport onto Fleur Drive. Make next right turn (west) onto Army Post Road to I-35. Take Interstate 35 North to Exit 127 for Hwy 141 West. Take Hwy 141 West to Hwy 169 North (22 miles). Hwy 169 North will take you to Hwy 175 (approximately 35 miles). Turn right (east) on Hwy 175 into Dayton (2 miles). Follow Hwy 175 through Dayton. The rodeo arena will be on the west side of the road on the south side of town.

Directions from the Fort Dodge Airport to Dayton Rodeo:

Make a right turn on Nelson Avenue/County Road P-56 (south) to 170th Street/County Road D14. Turn right (west) on D14 to Hwy 169. Go left (south) on Hwy 169 to Hwy 175 (19 miles). Turn left on Hwy 175 (6 miles) east to Dayton. The rodeo arena will be on the west side of the road on the south side of town.

Directions from the Des Moines Airport to Fort Dodge, IA:

Make a right turn (south) out of the Des Moines Airport onto Fleur Drive. Make next right turn (west) onto Army Post Road to I-35. Take Interstate 35 North to exit #142 (about 60 – 70 miles), Hwy 20 West (Fort Dodge). Take Hwy 20 West to exit 124 (about 30 – 35 miles), Coalville/Fort Dodge. At stop sign after exit ramp, turn right (north). Proceed north on Hwy P59 for 6 miles (to stop light at T-intersection). At stop light, turn left (west) onto 5th Avenue South (also called Hwy 20 Business).

Camping

There are four areas to camp for the weekend!

• Right in Dayton at the bottom of the hill next to the arena, and it is free. This is where the cowboys camp and it is first come, first serve, and electricity is limited.
• Brushy Creek State Park
• Equestrian campground as well as a non-equestrian campground. It is 12 miles northeast of Dayton. http://www.iowadnr.gov/parks/state_park_list/brushy_creek.html
• Dolliver Memorial State Park
• 9 miles north of Dayton. http://www.iowadnr.gov/parks/state_park_list/dolliver.html
• Don Williams Campground
• This is in Boone County near Pilot Mound, approximately 9 miles south of Dayton. Phone number is 515-275-9906.
